WHAT THE F#$K IS WRONG WITH MITSUBISHI?

Im so pissed i was gonna fit an exhaust and flash and fit a complete intake system but now they tell me that i have to change my brake pads and disks all around and mitsubishi wants R13 000.

any way im tring to get aftermarket parts and am getting some crazy prices.

anyone know where i can get some good disks? i think i have some good prices on pads but the disks are a f@#$ing pain in my arse.

or get in touch with BoostedGP he does the works stuff and it a great kit
and are 100 times better than the stockers and allot of aftermarket kit.

I have had experience regarding these disks on my WRX, the POS discs started cracking so bad, that it cracked right through to the point were i could slide a piece of paper in the crack!!

not cool and i wasted 3.5k on them

do it right the first time......buy cheap buy twice Smile

I had my stock discs for 2500km of road riding and they warped to pieces.
I am currently using Performance friction discs, contact a guy by the name of
mike bond i think it is, he should be able to sort you out.

I have spoken to mike he is based on the same road that i live on and im getting the goodridge steel braided brake hoses from him.

also spoke to clive @ powerbrake and it works to about R6500 for the front and rear disk upgrades and pads.

he is gonna supply these brakes disk for the front and make a custom set for the rear

We supply the Die Hard discs extensively into production car race circles where they have been used to win a number of national championships. The pads in the Die Hard Series Kit are a high-perf street compound. The kit will offer very strong, fade-free braking and should give unmatched disc and pad life, unless blatantly abused. You can expect around a 25 - 30% improvement in out-and-out brake power (which is big in braking terms), with far better fade resistance during high-speed or emergency stops and improved wet weather braking as well. I had the same from Mitsubishi!

My Evo IX went in late last year with 20 000km on the clock and they told me the vehicle needed new discs and pads amongst a whole list of other stuff that was obviously thumb sucked, I have worked with the vehicles and know what they were on about was krap.
They quoted a full R18k for the discs and still additional for the pads and other stuff totaling over 26k, they then had a full on fight with me at there shop in Bryanston because I did not want to spend that money on stock parts I did not even need and know I was being ripped off.
I took the vehicle to Doc technologies and was advised the discs were fine and only pads needed changing, we put EBC yellows on and had no problem since.

Mitsubishi service has been the worst out of any of the car manufactures I have tried to date, very dissapointing.

Good luck with the discs, also going to go that way once mine are done.
