Event is on, here's the details:

1. It will be the responsibility of the Club representative/Chairman/Event coordinators to enter his/her club.
2. The clubs will do a transfer into Odi Raceway’s account for all entrants.
3. The entry fee is R 250.00 per entrant, and MSA licences are applicable for the Event.
4. No sharing will be allowed. (two drivers sharing the vehicle)
5. The Competition is open to normal and aspirated vehicles. Helmets, long sleeve shirts/jacket and long pants with lace up shoes.
6. All vehicles must be street legal.
7. The closing date for entries will be on Thursday 18 June 2009.
8. All entry fees to be paid over on Friday 19 June 2009.
9. No Entries will be accepted after this date.
10. No Entries at the track on race day.
11. Clubs will have allocated pit areas for the amount of entries only!
12. Scrutineering will take place at Marula Sun Casino on Saturday 27 June 2009 from 05h00 – 08h00.
13. All entries will drive their vehicles to Odi Raceway. +- 12 kilometers.

BATTLE OF THE CLUBS 2009 – “ SHOWDOWN”

Schedule of Events

Campsite can be occupied on Friday from 12h00 – nobody will be allowed on the premises without proof of payment.
R 40.00 per person per day OR R60.00 per person for both days.
All Entrants will get driver + 1 for free for both days.

09h00 – 13h00 800 & 1000 meter runs – Single runs. Each competitor will get 3 runs. 800 Meter reading and 1 kilometer reading. Best run within 2% of the second run will count towards points
13h00 – 13h30 Lunch break
13h30 – 16h00 Gymkhana – Each competitor will have 2 (two) timed runs. Best run will count towards points.
16h30 Provisional Results posted, subject to no protests. Lots of Give-away prizes at the Party

Point System for 800, 1000 Meter Top end Runs

800 Meter Runs will score in Assisted Class and Normal Aspirated Class
Quickest to the slowest will get points. Quickest will get 1 Point and will work like Golf. The slowest will get the most points.

The lowest score will be the winner per class.All runs to be within 2% of each other to Eliminate Sporadically readings. No competitor will be allowed to re-run a run, except when there was a technical problem on Equipment, or a fault by the marshals.

GPS’s will be allowed but the Speed Measuring Equipment from Trevello on the day will be final. Top 10 cars per club will score for Club Champion Competition

Point System for Gymkhana

Gymkhana Competitors will score in Assisted Class and Normal Aspirated Class. Quickest to the slowest will get points. Quickest will get 1 Point and will work like Golf. The slowest will get the most points. The lowest score will be the winner per class. 2(two) runs per vehicle. The best run will count towards the competition. Top 10 cars per club will score for Club Champion Competition

¼ Mile Point System

Like any heads-up Event all cars can race each other. 2 Classes will be adhered to namely; Aspirated and Normal Aspirated. Quickest to the slowest will get points. Quickest will get 1 Point and will work like Golf. The slowest will get the most points.

The lowest score will be the winner per class. 3(three) runs per vehicle. The best run will count towards the competition, and must be within 2% of the second best run.
Top 10 cars per club will score for Club Champion Competition

Overall Winner of the Event

Competitor with the lowest point on all 4 Disciplines will be the overall winner. There will be 2(two) overall winners, - One for Assisted cars, and One for Normally aspirated cars.

Club Champions

All competitors will score points and the club with the lowest score combining a 4(four) disciplines will be the winners. Top 10 cars per club will score for Club Champion Competition
