Here are mine figures on KR's dyno

Stage 1 Evo 8
181kw at 330nm torque on KR's dyno.

My stage 1 currently consists of....
Works downpipe
Decatted stock zorst
HKS EVC6 boost controller.
Remapped by myself (no knock counts at all)

I had a custom 76mm KR zorst fitted/fabricated by Adelin (awesome job, all tig welded etc), which probally makes me stage 1,5,

and at the SOCSA clubs Dyno day on staurday I did...

190,1 kw and 350 torque.

I went past Kyoto today to do a power run before fitting the Cams and O2 housing, so I could have a before and after comparison once the cams are fitted.

I was expecting a little bit more power since a few minor things have been changed with a tweak on the tune, but WOW, I was blown away with the readings I got today.

Firstly my best numbers previously on Kyoto's dyno were....
190kw @ 350nm.
This was at beak boost of 1.8 bar.

Today I got....
207kw @ 406nm , and that is still with a stock turbo.
Tuned by myself with zero knock counts .

Very happy with that, and the cams an 02 housing still be installed.
This was at peak boost of 1.85 bar.

Another update to my power figures.... yeah I know I am bragging but I am so happy about this. Very Happy

At the last TRB dyno day in Jan this year, my Evo8 made
234.5 kw @ 455 nm was more than happy with that.

Last week I changed over to a new mix, did a lot of fiddling with the map/road tunning, mainly working on the fuelling since the new mix has a different stoich to my old mix.

Also worked a bit on the wastgeate duty cycles to try and smooth out the power curve, it was a bit lumpy to say the least. Confused

Went to TRB's dyno last night and did a bit more tunning, mainly throwing more fuel at the car and finally getting the power curve a lot smoother.

My new figures at TRB's dyno....with no additional mods since last time...

My last run of the evening ....
250,7kw at 477 nm's.
All this on a stock Evo8 Turbo boosting 1,85 bar. Razz

Credit to Adelin for the new mix and too Hylton, for coming around last night at the end, his advise got me to the 250 kw mark.
and to Tim/TRB for the dyno.

Will post up the graphs a bit later, once I have had them scanned.

Edit: Graph attached

and maptracer log of the last run which the graph was frpm

Tail end needs a bit cleaning up, from 6000 rpm onwards. Need to sort that out at some point

Updated graph below.
Went past TRB today for a quick power run after doing a road tune.

The road tune was on my high boost map, boosting to 1,9 bar with the Evo 9 turbo, and I managed to add 2 degrees of timing from 5000rpm onwards. This was using my 50/50 ethanol and 95 mix.
Most knock I got was a few 1 knock counts at peak torque.

A map trace of the dyno run above.
The yellow cells indicate a knock cunt of 1 on spool up.

And a dyno comparison done on Kyoto's dyno an hour ealier, before going through to TRB.
Adelin's printer wasn't working so I took a pic with my phone.

Someon else, did a dyno comparison between TRB and Snais last week, where he first went on TRB's dyno with his Golf 5 GTI and then drove through to Snails and also did a dyno run.

I don't have the graphs but he told me yesterday there was a difference of 3kw's between the two, where TRB's dyno read slightly higher. Very small difference imo, small enough to say they read the same.

Kyoto's dyno on the other hand, well that is a real "heart breaker".

And another update..... some interesting results after changing over to Tephra's latest V7 "BigMap" patches and using PSI/BAR Direct boost control patch.

Went to TRB on Saturday to do some fine tuning to see if I had reached MBT with respect to Ignition Timing and Fueling - running my 50% ethanol mix.

I also wanted to test what difference a Megan Racing exhaust manifold makes.

My previous best at TRB was 269kw at 550nm.

Base run on Saturday without changing anything in the map from the last run at TRB (figures above) - just the Megan exhaust manifold, returned slightly less power and torque to my previous best but damn there was a lot more lag.
Peak torque only came in about 700rpm later than compared to the oem manifold.

The Megan Racing manifold is coming off this week, I will be sending my OEM exhaust manifold for some porting and coating and then putting it back on the car.

Anyway, spent some time fine tuning and added 3 degrees of timing from roughly load site 120 onwards and leaned out the AFR a few points.

This did help a bit with spool up, but the car is still too laggy for my liking with the Megan Racing manifold compared to the OEM one, we are talking by about 400 rpm now.

Anyway, I left there with the best figures off
281 kw at 575nm. Smile

All this still on a stock Evo9 turbo using the std compressor wheel, boost just over 2.0 bar at peak torque.

281kw on the std Evo 9 turbo is insane power.

Congrats... Wink

We Ran Prev's EVO on TRB at 1.2bar boost it made 264KW atw and then we ran it at Snail no changes same boost it made 242KW...

So the difference is about 10% I scheme - we also ran a NA 350z it made 148KW at Snail and 162KW at TRB...

8-10% seems about right Sal.

Would be nice to have an evo dyno day to see some of the big hitters on the same dyno ,same day,

I am sure we will see the 40R guys make +400kw on the rollers (well maybe not on Kyoto's heartbreker).

would serve as a nice way to kick of the new year.

Maybe Sean can organise something with TRB as it would be a good bas as we already know Simon's race evo made around 406wkw there.

I'm game for sure,

what say you Sean? Can you organise it?
