Hi guys!

Great to finally have found a place that talks LANCER!! I own a 2003 Lancer 1.6 (Evo Look-a-like) and the freakin spares are killing me!! Need to replace shocks and the dealers want R2500+- per shock without fitment!! anybody know where I can find these and other spares for my car???

Also, my pockets are slightly empty and would love to own an evo so next best thing would be to modify my lancer a bit.

Got 2 options at the moment:
1 - Engin transplant - Evo 4 Motors available
2 - Modify my 1.6 by adding a turbo

What you guys think??

Welcome to the club. Well im not too sure where to find spare shocks for the lancer here in SA besides the dealers, but u can find common parts around. Also in case u need seals or clutch release bearings, I have those for the lancer. But with the prices the dealers want, I would look at importing a coil over kit for the car. U can find a decent one for the lancer at about R10000 to R11000 imported and is much better than stock. Also with regards to power, im not too informed about the 1.6 engine, but take a look at

The folks there have extracted good solid power out of that motor and I would ask around there for some more specific info. However if u do have the cash, I rate u transplant a 4G63 into the car. Its proven that it can take it.
If u need any more advice just ask Smile
