HOW TO: Convert your Fogs to be DRL for HID
(Sourch From Our Alliance Lancer Club Member 9glancer.com)

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Please use any safety equipment that you have as much as possible.
Park your vehicle properly and work in a safe environment.
Follow the instructions carefully.

MATERIALS:
Six (6) 9006 Extension wires with male and female ends.
Male and Female connectors (about 20 each)
Two (2) High-Heat 9006 Headlight Female Plugs (Link)
Screw Driver
All in One Pliers/Wire Stripper/Cripplers

WE BEGIN:
OPEN YOUR HOOD AND DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL FROM THE BATTERY.

FOGLIGHT SECTION:
REMOVE THE FOGLIGHT COVER AND REMOVE THE FOGLIGHT ASSEMBLY
*

LOCATE THE FOG PLUG'S WIRE AND CUT IT OFF ABOUT 3” FROM THE PLUG.
FOR THE MAIN WIRE, STRIP IT AND CRIPLE A FEMALE CONNECTOR.
FOR THE FOG’s PLUG WIRES, STRIP IT AND CRIPLE A MALE CONNECTOR.
*

GRAB 1 EXTENSION CUT-OFF THE FEMALE END, STRIP THE WIRES AND PUT A FEMALE CONNECTOR.
*

EXTENSION LAYOUT
*

NOW GO UNDER THE HOOD, LOCATE THE PLUG THAT CONNECTS TO THE HEADLIGHT, REMOVE IT FROM THE HEADLIGHT AND CONNECT THE NEW FOG’s EXTENSION THEN SLIP THE OTHER END UNDER THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING ALL THE WAY TO THE Fogy’s HOUSING.
*

CONNECT THE EXTENSION TO THE FOG’s PLUG THAT HAS CONNECTORS. PLS NOTE THAT BLACK WIRE ALWAYS CONNECTS WITH THE OTHER BLACK WIRE.
*

IF YOU WANT TO CHAGE TO FOGLIGHT BULB NOW IS THE TIME.

NOW WERE DONE WITH THE FOGLIGHT SECTION, BUT DO NOT RETURN THE FOGLIGHT ASSEMBLY JUST YET.

FOR THE HEADLIGHT SECTION:

GRAB ONE (1) HIGH-HEAT 9006 FEMALE PLUG AND CRIPLE A MALE CONNECTOR TO IT. (I used a high-heat plug cuz I am currently using an Artic Blue 100w headlight and I not sure if the extension were high-heat ones)
*

GRAB AN EXTENSION, CUT-OFF THE FEMALE END AND CRIPLE A FEMALE CONNECTOR AND CONNECT THE HIGH-HEAT PLUG. PLS NOTE THAT BLACK WIRE ALWAYS CONNECTS WITH THE OTHER BLACK WIRE.
*

GRAB ANOTHER EXTENSION, CUT-OFF THE MALE END AND CRIPLE A MALE CONNECTOR AND CONNECT THE TWO EXTENSION WITH.
*

NOW CONNECT THE HIGH-HEAT PLUG TO THE HEADLIGHT AND AGAIN, SLIP THE OTHER END ALL THE WAY TO THE FOG’s HOUSING.
*

NOW GRAB THE END OF THE EXTENSION THAT CAME FROM HEADLIGHT AND CONNECT IT TO THE FOG’s MAIN WIRE. PLEASE NOTE THAT BLACK WIRE CONNECTS WITH OTHER BLACK WIRE
*

RECONNECT THE EXTENSION FOR THE FOG’s AND RETURN THE FOGLIGHT ASSEMBLY BACK TO ITS PLACE AS WELL AS THE COVER.
*

NOW DO THE SAME PROCEDURE ON THE OTHER SIDE.

WHEN YOU’RE DONE, RECONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY.

TURN ON YOU HEADLIGHT AND THE FOGLIGHT SHOULD GO ON AND WHEN YOU TURN ON YOU FOGLIGHT, YOU HEADLIGHT SHOULD GO ON.

*ESTIMATED LABOR TIME -1 HOUR

THE REASON WHY I USED CONNECTORS IS TO EASILY RECONNECT THE ORIGINAL FOGLIGHT PLUG TO ITS ORIGINAL WIRES.

I’LL BE GETTING MY HIDs PRETTY SOON I’LL UPDATE ONCE I GET THEM INSTALLED ON HOW THEY WORK WITH THIS METHOD

HOPE THIS HELP TO SOME LT MEMBERS OUT THERE.
