Ask the dealers
I dont know if its the generic socket on that ecu or not.
Most tuning programs come with the adapters to plug into your stock ecu...or if you buy a stand alone it hooks right in. Not much point though since the tuning shops have the programs and equipment already and it would be cheaper to let them do it. Besides, you'd look kinda dumb trying to tune your car with a laptop when you're not even on a dyno. What would u want to do anyway? _________________ ________________________

Like I said without a dyno it will be just a big guess and the chances are that something goes wrong is high. If ur bent on doing it urself, at least have a dyno with u to see whats going on. Also the guys with the dyno will have the connector. _________________ ________________________

Only place you can get it from is here... for the Evo's that is.

Mazda's = no idea although the version2.0 cable may also work. for the Mazda, the cable is not the only thing you need, you will also need the software that is able to flash (read/write) to the ECu as well as the software to change the maps.
The software for the Scoobs and Evo is free off the internet, so it is just the cable you need to buy.
Pity they discontinued the version 1.00, which is the one I have. Version 2.00 has all these extra's which we don't really need for evo 7,8, and 9,s.
It is for the new Scoobs and Evo X but it will still work on the older Evo's.
Version 1.00 use to cost $90, price has more than doubled
If u want, you cam come past my place and we can flash your car with the map you have and do a few logs.
PM me if u r interested. |
